Welcome to Week 1 of the Peter for SMOB '25 Campaign Blog! Throughout this blog, you'll find behind-the-scenes information on all of the happenings in and outside of the campaign.

CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT

On Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at 5:30pm, Peter announced his campaign to be the next Student Member of the MCPS Board of Education and posted his campaign video on all social media platforms. He made clear in his video that he's "ready for action" and will do whatever it takes to fight for you, no matter what part of the county you live in.

FIRST SCHOOL VISIT!

On Thursday, January 9th, Peter was excited to visit the Earle B. Wood Middle School Student Government Association (SGA), where he spoke to student leaders about his campaign, experience, and ideas for a better MCPS. He was also able to listen to their concerns and hear their ideas to improve the learning experience in MCPS.

HOW TO VOTE PETER FOR SMOB

Nominating Convention is the annual event where over 450 middle and high school delegates from across the county come together to vote for the two SMOB finalists.

This year, it will be held during the school day at Watkins Mill High School on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 from 10:30am - 1:00pm.

Please talk to your school's SGA Advisor about attending so you can vote Peter to be one of the final SMOB candidates!
