POLICY PLATFORM
On Saturday, January 18th, Peter released his policy platform: a detailed agenda of what he plans to accomplish in office. His policy platform is centered around 6 main pillars: School Safety, Student Wellbeing, Equity, Career Readiness, Facilities, and Representation. 4 SCHOOL VISITS!!!
Peter was honored to visit 4 schools in 3 days! On Tuesday, January 14th, Peter managed to fit two school visits within one afternoon: Shady Grove Middle School and Montgomery Village Middle School. The next day, Wednesday, January 15th, Peter visited A. Mario Loiederman Middle School and finally, on Thursday, January 16th, Peter met with students from Cabin John Middle School. At each school visit, Peter spoke with SGA leaders about the issues they see at their school and has gained insight into what issues matter most.
One student from A. Mario Loiederman Middle School even explained how their school experienced two dangerous gas leaks in which students had to evacuate the building. Despite pushing and testifying to the Board of Education, their dangerous incidents were ignored. This was upsetting to hear! In Peter's platform, under "Facilities," he emphasizes the importance of "improving the reporting system for schools to report infrastructural damages."
HOW TO VOTE PETER FOR SMOB
Nominating Convention is the annual event where over 450 middle and high school delegates from across the county come together to vote for the two SMOB finalists. This year, it will be held during the school day at Watkins Mill High School on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 from 10:30am - 1:00pm.
Please talk to your school's SGA Advisor about attending so you can vote Peter to be one of the final SMOB candidates!
