ECO MOCO FEBRUARY EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

On Saturday, February 15th, Eco MoCo hosted it's February Executive Board Meeting. Co-founded by Peter Boyko and Lumina Zhang in 2022, Eco MoCo is the largest student-led environmental organization in the county with over 200 Executive Board members and volunteers. During this meeting, Peter got to share his Officer Update, learn more about department activity, and participate in a letter-writing campaign for BEPS (Building Energy Performance Standards), which is a policy the county government is in the process of revising to make more effective and progressive. Later that evening, many members supported a Dirty Dough x Eco MoCo fundraiser!

3 NEW SCHOOL VISITS!

On Thursday, February 13th, Peter first visited North Bethesda Middle School and enjoyed speaking to students there! While driving to his next school visit, Peter also spoke to students in the Gaithersburg Middle School SGA virtually. Finally, he ended the day at Redland Middle School.

HOW TO VOTE PETER FOR SMOB

Nominating Convention is NEXT WEEK and is the annual event where over 450 middle and high school delegates from across the county come together to vote for the two SMOB finalists. This year, it will be held during the school day at Watkins Mill High School on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 from 10:30am - 1:00pm.

Registration has closed for most schools by now, so if you were chosen to be a voting delegate for your school, we look forward to seeing you at Nominating Convention in less than 2 weeks! Make sure you vote Peter to be one of the final SMOB candidates!
